So how good is this place, my family convinced me to drive them 20 miles from our house to come get pupusas. Yup, 20 miles through traffic and having to go through LA to get to this place. Was it worth it: ABSOLUTELY!

I tried the black bean with no cheese and the family had raja de queso, chicharon [pork] & bean and cheese. My daughter had the carnitas or chicharon with yucca and they gave us so much yucca; I love yucca. It reminds me of my dad driving my mom around looking for yucca when I was a little kid and it was not available in a lot of places.

I ordered the fried plantines and crema and the waitress asked me if I wanted them by themselves or with beans; WHAT!!!! My mom has made us plantines since I was a little kid and NEVER had i seen someone eat them with beans. Did I like it, well I would not order it again. The beans are great but I just don't feel they go with the plantines. Must be a Salvadorian thing! My mother is Costa Rican and so many Tico foods [that's what Costa Ricans are called by locals] are similar to Salvadorian foods but again no beans with plantines for me.

This was definitely worth the drive! The place is small but has a small patio outside too. There is a laundry next door so some of the patrons were coming to eat while they washed. There is one single bathroom and the place could have been a little cleaner but there was a lot of people coming and going.

The taste of the food is good but talking about service . The take more than hour to make 3 pupusas and some pastelitos de carne. While I was waiting. 2-3 parties arrive there and they were served first.

This place is amazing and highly underrated.

The pupusa's are freshly and the burrito is a large portion. Highly recommend it.

This place is so salty. I had a bean and cheese pupusa, and the chicharron and yuca. The chicharron and yuca sounded like a good idea, but it was very heavy. Yuca is basically like a french fry but like extra fried. The chicharron is what you would expect. A hard-ish piece of meat with a chewy, gooey, fatty skin. I should have stuck with two pupusas for lunch instead. This place is super hole in the wall. My coworkers ordered a torta. That had fresh looking guac on it. They said that they like the steak torta over the chicken because the chicken is too salty! My other coworkers used to order the carne asada tacos. They called it salty asada. Maybe someone needs to tell them to chill out on the salt. Maybe someone there will read this review and get the memo.
